DWO Banke District Branch

DWO Banke Branch Office established in 1994, is one of the strongest and oldest branch office in terms of experience in carrying out advocacy initiatives and development and human rights project in Banke district. It has district office in Kohalpur Municipality, Banke, Mid western region of Nepal. It has proven experience in the implementation of advocacy initiatives and project implementation. It has also outstanding strength in media advocacy as well. The Banke district branch office manages community Radio Station called “Pratibodh FM” with technical support from DWO central office Kathmandu. It has been carrying out awareness and sensitization campaign against caste based discrimination and untouchability in Banke district. In addition, it has been implementing various projects in the field of accountability and governance, democracy, food security, livelihood, Dalit women empowerment, gender equality, poverty reduction, Climate Change and media advocacy. It has worked and has been working with International NGO such as Action Aid Nepal, MS Nepal, USC Asia Canada, Social Work Institute and Local government such as District Development Committee, District Education Office and Village Development Committee. Currently the Banke Branch Executive Committee is led by Krisha B.K.
