About Project

The program involves interventions with children ages 3-4 years, and 5-9 years respectively. This year, it has reached 2077 children ages 3-4 (1040 girls and 1037 boys), and 8224 children ages 5-9 (4091 girls and 4133 boys). Not only is the focus on improving the quality of education but also providing children with protection in schools from physical and psycho-social harm. Additionally, the project is strengthening parents’ and teachers’ educational skills through workshops providing training as well as educational materials. The project has also seen success in reaching out-of-school children, particularly girls, and having them participate in formal education through enrollment campaigns, and publishing and disseminating information on enrollment rates in the district. Part of this is from hosting interactions between parents, teachers, and students on student progress which engaged the whole family in the child’s success in their education. Major activities include: enrollment campaign in massive level going home to home visit, Street drama show and presenting the rally coordinating with District Education Office (DEO)/Schools/ECCDs and Child Clubs in cooperation with other NGOs, parenting Education for increasing parents' awareness of support to their child for better development. Additionally, they conducted Educational Bulletin publication support and Material Production Workshop and Mobile Meeting for grade teachers, education support to poor, Dalit, Backwarded and needy children, and implemented a workshop and Camp on literacy boost for children and parents.
